American Oak Medium Toasted

The Aurum oak range of medium toasted American oak contributes significantly to increasing the sweetness of the wine, providing greater volume without contributing a significant level of tannin. The toasting programme consists of moderate thermal jumps with controlled temperature gradients which, together with rigorous humidity control, allow the maximum aromatic expression of the oak to be achieved. It provides a very important concentration of coconut, caramel and vanilla which give the wine the tertiary character typical of an ageing process.
