French Oak

The Aurum oak range of un-toasted French oak is sourced directly from boards from the cooperage drying yard that have undergone 24-36 months of drying. No toasting is carried out in order to achieve the highest possible positive tannin content. The tannin contribution to the wine is notable, while the aromatic contribution is not very relevant, although it increases the notes of freshness and the fruity expression of the wines.
